Condenser and coil cleaning

Chemical cleaning of air-cooled condensers, dry cooler coils and rooftop unit coils.

Condenser coil of a rooftop unit before chemical cleaning

A dirty coil costs money every day

Dust, pollen and grease on the condenser raise the condensing pressure. The compressor works harder, uses more power and the chiller trips on high pressure on hot days. Cleaning with the right chemical and low pressure water restores the heat transfer without bending the fins.

  • Inspection of the coil and fins before cleaning
  • Cleaning with a dedicated coil cleaner and rinsing
  • Straightening of bent fins where needed
  • Measurement of condensing temperature before and after
  • Photos before and after in the report

FAQ

Condenser cleaning: frequent questions

How often should a condenser be cleaned?
Usually once a year before the summer. Near roads, trees or production with dust, twice a year.
Can you clean microchannel coils?
Yes, with products and pressures suitable for aluminium microchannel coils.
Is the chiller switched off?
Usually yes, for the time of cleaning. We plan it with you to avoid production stops.
